PREREQUISITES

Enforcement Officers will be offered seats on a space available basis. Tuition fee is due at time of registration and tuition cost does not include lodging and meals. Travel and expenses are not included. Please note, Tirsia Law Enforcement Training Centre does not offer meals or lodging.

1. You are a Canadian citizen.
2. You are employed as a law enforcement officer or protective services agent with arrest authority in the prevention, detection, apprehension of summary and/or indictable offences of federal, provincial, municipal, or tribal laws.
3. You must be in good physical condition with no medical or physical restrictions.
4. You must be able to participate in intensive physical training lasting up to 8 hours per day.
5. You are authorized to attend training in support of your official duties; and you will be in an official duty status and not on any type of leave.
6. You are attending training with the knowledge and support of your employer.
7. You acknowledge you have read all program prerequisites and meet all requirements.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Attire - Dress in appropriate professional attire or agency uniform. Students must bring proper clothing for:

Defensive Tactics: BDU pants, dark agency training t-shirt or compatible clothing, mats shoes.

Firearms: BDU pants, uniform long sleeve if issued or long sleeve, ballcap, duty boots, eye protection, ear protection, duty firearm, 3 magazines, 9mm frangible ammunition.

Equipment / Items to Bring: Students are required to bring their issued duty belt, handcuff pouch, chain-link handcuffs, handcuff key, extendable baton, baton scabbard, OC pouch and OC spray (if applicable), soft body armour and carrier, flashlight, flashlight holder, SIMunition pistol and 3 magazines, SIMunition marking rounds, SIMunition / SBT protective equipment.
